The 2011 South Dakota Youth Congress will be held on July 26-29, 2011, at the University of South Dakota. This year’s topic is, “Developing a Voice on Current Youth Issues”. The Youth Congress is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to join other youth leaders in discussing their ideas regarding this important public policy issue. Students express their thoughts and make recommendations, using the think-tank format which focuses on deliberation and learning how to come to consensus about each issue discussed.
