The South Dakota Public Policy Institute (SDPPI) is a project of the Chiesman Center dedicated to informing and improving public policy in South Dakota through independent, objective, nonpartisan deliberative dialogue, research, and evaluation.
The SDPPI brings together citizens who have expertise, commitment, and a desire to enhance the quality of life within the state or their community through civic engagement. The SDPPI symbolizes that citizens can deliberate and analyze public policy issues and decisions using the National Issues Forums framework and can make a difference.
